something jagged slipped into my heel.

"when do you plan on coming home?"
"I have plans tonight."
the air got heavy.

from the middle of the street.

bathed in sunlight.
maybe i like him after all.

i was out to surf.
the waves were cold and choppy
but i knew you were watching from the beach

so i kept trying to catch a wave.
